Operation Christmas Child - Run by the Samaritans purse project.
Each Cub brought a shoebox and small presents.
The boxes were decorated and filled with the presents (with a little
aid from mum) for needy children of the world. This year the shoe
boxes are going to the children of Chernobyl who have suffered from
the effects of radiation ten years ago.
October 04
124th cub packs set off in the mini bus to the annual six-a-side
football competition at the Monty-Hind sports hall. We had a lot
of fun and won all our matches to qualify for the final. In our
qualifying games we won 1-0, 3-0, 5-0 and 2-0. As there were seven
of in the team, we lent the ‘City Team’ a player so
we all had more games.
The final was against the 1st Wilford, who we lost to last year
in the final, was outstanding. The final was close but the final
score was 2-1 to us and we took the trophy.
The team was Alex, Edward, Jack, Harry, Thomas, Ryan and Ryan.
